Why the #1xADay Challenge is for you

It was about 2 weeks ago that I realized something that broke my heart – it was that I didn’t share the Gospel with anyone (other than my church members + on social media) in the last month. I am what some may call an Evangelist – but to put it simply – there is an insatiable need in me to share how amazing Jesus is with other people, and to help Christians learn how to share their faith as well.

Well, as we approached Christmas I thought what better time than now to share the goodness of Jesus. The reality is, in America most people know OF Jesus – but they don’t know him personally. Even many well-intended Christians who regularly go to church on Sunday have been given a false faith of religion and not a relationship.

I am not a stats/numbers person – but I found these interesting: https://www.barna.com/research/is-evangelism-going-out-of-style/

So here’s the fact – you are probably not sharing the Gospel as much as you think you should be or want to. If you honestly ask yourself, when was the last time that you shared the Gospel with someone? The truth is – many Christians when asked – don’t even know simply what the Gospel is.

So let me help you (put super simply):

The Gospel

1) God is holy

2) we are hopeless sinners separated from God

3) Christ died and rose again for sinners,

4) This great salvation is enjoyed by faith in Christ- and you can enter into the Kingdom today.

The #1xADay Challenge

The challenge is to share The Gospel one time – every day. The way that I do this is to wake-up and pray – ask God for an opportunity to share and the boldness and courage to speak. Often we don’t share the Gospel because we aren’t asking God what HE cares about, we are scared, or we are just apathetic. These are all things that you can talk to God about.

Make sure to follow me on Instagram this month – i’ll be sharing stories on my Instagram story and I hope they can encourage you.

Please comment and let me know if you have any questions, encourage your friends to do the challenge with you, and comment that you are participating so I can be praying for you!
